Imbi's Christmas ... shopping

He is so little!
Does he fancy the train,
the sleigh
or the Christmasbow?

His eyes
they won't look up.
He keeps focussed
on the world below.

There is a world
full of beauty,
full of laughter,
full of play.

He will be happy
in that world.
Or perhaps fighting for love,
come what may.

Still life is
full of beauty
He surely
will always see.

In this world of wonder:
shopping window,
boxing-evening
and a life to be.

She reaches for the star,
the wonderworld,
her wishes
all what might ever be.

She longs not for the dolls
the little white bear.
Those are toys
her human eyes can see.
She longs for what only
her inner eye can see.

She reaches, lonely,
unlike other children
always for the little star
in the hope that once
in her lifetime
she'll see
the Christmas-star.

Perhaps we can live
like these little children
on this world
and in the world afar.

Trying to be happy
in the world of children
with in our heart
the love of the
Christmas-star
